We need to chat.
I come to you today with a concern for Your creation. You created it to work in perfect harmony, bringing us both the sun and the moon, both summer and winter, both rain and sun for our plants.
Creator God, it's the rain I'm concerned about. Something about this harmony seems to not be working properly, and I can only come to one conclusion:
The clouds are broken.
I know this is the time of planting and watering. I fully understand that. May I humbly suggest that they are sufficiently watered, and a little sun might do them some good. With some sunshine,
Flowers could bloom,
Trees could thrive,
Leafy plants could utilize the ingenious process of photosynthesis You so perfectly designed,
And my kids might be able to actually play a game of baseball.
Do the clouds come with an off switch? You created them, so I'm guessing You know. If the angels have a moment when they aren't too busy, may I suggest someone check on that. Something clearly isn't working properly. It's like a heavenly tap is stuck and the faucet won't turn. I'd simply like to remind You, oh Lord, that You created humans, and humans created WD-40. It might, just maybe, help in this situation.
Let's get back to Your creation, Father God, and it's perfect harmony. If my kids and our family can't be outside at the baseball fields with all of their teammates and their families, the mosquitoes have no one to devour. It truly is unfortunate that everyday there are insects going hungry simply because the humans are all hidden indoors or their tasty ankles are tucked away in rain boots.
You taught us to feed the less fortunate. Please let the sun shine and the baseball games happen so that the helpless mosquitoes won't have to go hungry any longer.
Dear Lord, please bless the baseball players, and bless the mosquitoes.
